Hotel La Loma
I have never been a big fan of expensive hotels or resorts but I’ve got to tell you, La Loma is definitely a must see when it comes to Panama. If you’ve never been to Panama, Bocas del Toro is one of the best places to be if you’re into beaches and sun. One of the most important steps before going to Bocas is finding a place to stay. If you have enough money to spare and want to stay at a unique and exclusive hotel, La Loma is what you’re looking for. It has to be one of the largest hotels I’ve ever seen, if you even want to call it a hotel.
Finding the place is an easy task because everybody knows about La Loma and there are a lot of people staying there on a weekly basis. Try getting an economic room; you won’t need anything too fancy, unless you’re the president. I actually got the cheapest package and this room alone looked better than my actual house, which was a funny thing. The bed is beautifully decorated and it’s prepared for visitors to just jump on and doze off. The first thing I did was relax on the bed, look through the window and fall asleep. Best experience ever.
Staying at La Loma won’t go under $100 per person and making reservations is a must do before even going there. Everybody wants to stay at La Loma during summer, so if you’re planning on going, make sure you make the appropriate reservations.
