If you’ve never been to Bocas del Toro, Punta Caracol Aqua Lodge is one the most refreshing and amazing places in Bocas del Toro. Located in Isla Colon, this place feels like another world, or just another time in life. Getting to Punta Caracol won’t be a problem, just tell a taxi driver you want to go to Punta Caracol and every single local knows where this place is located. There’s no doubt, this is a very popular place to stay at, so you must make reservations no matter what point of the year you’re in.
You’re going to love how this place was set up, it’s beautiful. Each cabin is placed in separate little island looking spots and you can pretty much wake up and look at the morning ocean. The rooms are amazingly comfortable, I actually wanted to live there, the room is large enough for my living standards at least. The hotel does such a great job making you feel at home, their room service is more than great and all of them are always willing to help you out with anything you need.
Punta Caracol can seem a little pricey but it’s worth every dime. If you were expecting something cheap, this isn’t the place you’re looking for. Rates don’t go lower than $150 and go up to $400. I stayed at the cheapest room and I felt like a king. This is truly a special place to stay at, you’re going to spend a substantial amount of money, but you won’t regret it.
